Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCard

Do you have loose change hiding in your couch, car or kitchen counters? I know we have a ton in little canisters in our home, and it seems the more containers I get, the more we accumulate coins. Sometimes change, and pennies in particular just get in the way, and become annoying. Thankfully, Coinstar is a pretty awesome service that easily turns your unwanted, annoying change back into exciting dollars, or even no fee gift cards!

I used to get so annoyed with turning my change into cash at my local banks! They now require all coins to be counted, and pre-rolled! I don’t know about you, but I certainly do not have the time to count out my coins. When using a Coinstar machine cashing in your change is easy peasy. Rolling coins in not a requirement-just collect them, and carry them into your nearest Coinstar location.  Since Coinstar machines are located at thousands of locations across the country, finding one is a breeze. They are located in markets, malls, and big box stores so you don’t have to waste your gas when looking for one, and wanting to multitask!

One of the reasons I now choose Coinstar to cash in all my loose change is because they offer no fees gift cards to pretty much all my favorite stores, and eateries. With a low $5 minimum you can take a bunch of pennies, and turn them into a Starbucks Gift Card, or even a Toy R Us Card. I a super excited that Coinstar has partnered with Marriot to now offer fee-free Marriott eGift cards!

My family and I love to vacation in Virginia, and we only stay at Marriott. We LOVE the Marriott at Ford’s Colony in Williamsburg Va, and plan on staying their this upcoming Spring. Since vacations are not cheap we do keep a change jar, and put money aside each week towards our stay. With the new Coinstar option, it will be much easier to save for our stay at our favorite Marriott. Conveniently, we can redeem our change, and turn it into Marriott eGiftcards! This way it will make it easier to allocate our vacationing budget because there will be no risk of us spending the money on something else!

You can use Marriott eGiftcards on a variety of services Marriott offers including:  spa treatments, restaurants, a round of golf, room service, and more! Below are some advantages of using Coinstar:

coinstar1 300x179 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardCoinstar is Coinstastic™ because it lets you use bills and coins online. Other great advantages are:

  • No Fees
  • No Credit Cards, or Account needed
  • No Paperwork
  • Secure and Private
  • Cash out for gift cards from major retailers
  • 17,800 Coinstar locations nationwide
  • only $5 minimum!

coinstar2 300x179 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardI recently had the pleasure of visiting my favorite Coinstar location in Stop & Shop-I cashed in 100 quarters, and planned on getting a Marriott eGiftcard.

coinstar5 300x179 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardThe process was so easy, and simple that the minor hiccup that occurred didn’t even phase me! All 100 quarters passed through the slotted coin catcher, and were accurately counted by the Coinstar Machine in less than one minute.

coinstar4 300x179 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardDeciding to opt in for a Marriott eGiftcard was very easy, and the directions on the screen were simple, and easy to follow. I agreed to the terms of service, and was about to get my printed ecard, but unfortunately the machine had an error, and could only provide me with a no fee cash option. I was totally satisfied because Coinstar did not cause any additional hassle to me, and they did not charge me a service fee for an error that was out of my control. The receipt received from the Coinstar machine to bring to the cashier printed our quickly, and clearly.

coinstar6 300x179 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardI brought the receipt to the cashier, and he happily gave me my $25 in bills. I left much lighter, and when I got home I put my $25 in cash in my vacation account. Coinstar really impressed me with providing me with a fee-free cash option. With any piece of technology, errors can happen anytime, but Coinstar made everything right on the spot.

coinstar7 179x300 Turning Coins into Cash: A Coinstar Review Featuring the New Marriott eTravelCardIf you have loose change hanging around your home, why not start a vacation fund? Turn that dust collecting change into a Marriott eGift card. You will be so surprised at how easy your coins turn into no fee gift cards. I love Coinstar, and recommend it to anyone looking for a service that is easy to use, and pays off!
